CORNER COUNTRY TRIP.....cont

Continuing on from day 3,

we lunched at the small town of Wannerring, which was a welcome stop, lunch in the park with green grass just across the road from the general store. heading west from here the roads are generally sandy with some low water pans in between the dunes. Further on you enter the Sturt Stony desert, full of gibber rock, a harsh environment. Our next stop was onto Tibbaburra to stay at the local caravan park. Booking to stay here are made at the local road house, where you can also gather some supplies like bread and milk. The caravan park isn't too bad with basic sites, clean toilets and showers- and backs onto a landscape that you would expect to find on the moon, mountains of huge rocks surround the town. The town has several pubs, general store and some other local shops.
